I Rode a Scooter Named “Outfit of the Day” (And It Was Actually Great)

Let’s be real. When you hear OOTD, you think of Instagram influencers posing in a Starbucks bathroom mirror, not a 500W electric beast tearing up a muddy trail.

But here we are. OOTD (the scooter brand, not the hashtag) is quietly making some of the most interesting budget commuters on the market. I spent a week on their flagship T10 model, and I walked away with muddy shoes and a very confused smile.

Here is the honest truth about the scoter that wants to match your aesthetic.

1. The “Wait, That’s a Tank” First Impression

Unboxing the OOTD T10, my first thought wasn't "fashion." It was "chunky."

This thing has 11-inch off-road tires. For context, most rental scooters have 8-inch wheels that feel every single pebble on the road. The T10 just... eats potholes for breakfast.

It weighs about 65 lbs (29.5 kg). Is it fun to carry up three flights of stairs? No. Does it feel like it will survive a zombie apocalypse? Yes.

The Vibe: Off-road rugged, not runway chic.

2. The Secret Handshake (Unlocking the Speed)

Out of the box, the T10 is a law-abiding citizen: 25 km/h (15.5 mph). Its safe, its legal, its… a little boring.

But OOTD knows you have a naughty side.
To unlock the real scooter, you perform a weird ritual: Hold the brake, turn the key on, and hit the throttle three times.

Poof. Suddenly, you are flying at 40-45 km/h (27 mph) .

At that speed, those big tires and front & rear spring suspension make sense. It feels more like a mini-moped than a toy.

3. The "Outfit" Irony

Here is the funny part. Because the brand is named OOTD, the marketing materials suggest you should care about how the scooter looks with your clothes.

I tried to care. I really did.
But the moment I hit a gravel path at full speed, I stopped caring about my "streetwear aesthetic." I was too busy laughing.

This scooter is not a purse. You don't match it to your shoes. You ride it because it has 140mm disc brakes, a 35% hill-climbing grade, and turn signals that flash when you brake hard.

4. The Deal Breaker (The Weight)

I have to be honest. If you live on the 4th floor and there’s no elevator, this isn't the scooter for you.

Lifting this thing is a gym workout.
But, that weight gives it an insane 150kg (331 lbs) load capacity. I saw a review where a dad rode this with his kid on the back. Try doing that on a Razor.

The Verdict

OOTD is the perfect brand for people who don't care about brands. It’s not a Segway. It's not a Xiaomi. It’s a generic-sounding name hiding a surprisingly capable machine.

Buy it if: You want durability, off-road capability, and speed without paying a premium price (It retails around €500).
Skip it if: You have weak arms or you actually need to match it to your handbag.

Final Score: 4/5
Best enjoyed with muddy tires and zero filters.
